The Ohio Supreme Court today granted a suspended sentence to a former Cuyahoga County deputy district attorney for falsifying his application to serve as a district attorney. The complaint, filed by the disciplinary panel, was filed by former Deputy District Attorney John Kramer, a member of the review committee. Kramer had dismissed the lawsuit on the grounds that the board should respect the decision of its complaints committee. Justice Kennedy argued that boards must respect those decisions when dealing with separate complaints and decisions by appeals committees reach their finality.
