Cedar Hill Christian School Reviews

Cedar Hill gives a good education but the people that need help aren't getting it because of the combined classes. I am a sixth grader and i feel like I need to be prepared for the seventh grade and I am not being prepared because my teacher has to take of the fifth grade also. The teachers are doing the best the can but it is not easy for the students or the teachers

Ceadar HILL is a good school acedemicaly i am an honor roll student and in the 6th grade. But,The children arent able to get enough attention as they need with the combined classes. My teacher sometimes depends on the smarter kids in the class to help the more challenged people when they need help when she is helping the 5th grade. I think that if you put your child in this school you are in for a challenge. So be prepared.

The school needs to do away with combined grade levels. I know it was done for financial reasons however it does not seem to benefit the higher of the two grades that are combined. Parent's have an option to send their child with a healthy lunch and not purchase what is offered. Teachers work hard and are doing a good job. I wish more extracurricular activities were offered.

My child was in the preschool (K4) class, so I have first hand knowledge about it. The K4 teacher will prepare your child for Kdg, but is extremely strict. The children are expected to behave at a maturity level far beyond their chronological age. Children in need of nurturing and a non-threatening environment may not do well in this class. The school is in financial crisis, so be prepared for constant fundraisers, and $1 dress down days. Perhaps, this will change with the new principal. The lunch program does not in any way promote healthy eating. The woman who runs the Before/After Care Program lacks tact and is unprofessional, but the cost is competitive if you prepay. My child will no longer be attending, but if you decide on Cedar Hill be prepared to be a strong advocate for your child.

My child was in the preschool class, known to this school as K4. It was quite an adjustment for him since his experience had been in a traditional preschool environment. During the trial period listed on your contract with the school, make sure to watch out for any warning signs your child may give you that the school is not the proper learning environment for him/her. It's very important to trust your first instinct. Positives: Kdg. ready, weekly bible verses, field trips, arts projects Negatives: Unhealthy lunch program, playground needs attention, constant fundraisers
