“My daughter started at Julie Billiart last fall, in the 6th grade, after struggling academically and socially at her previous Catholic school. She has a math learning disability, and struggles with anxiety and mild ADD. Julie Billiart has been amazing. She has gone from reluctant to go to school, having to be pushed to do her homework, and getting failing grades to being excited to go to school every day, doing her homework on her own without being reminded, and getting excellent grades. Her math skills have improved dramatically in less than a year. She is much more confident in school, and best of all, she told me the other day that she has lots of friends at JB. I couldn't be happier with the school. Everyone, from the principal, Mrs. Johnston, to the teachers and staff are kind, warm, caring, and genuinely care about working with children with learning differences.” This review was posted by a parent.

“JB is an incredibly nurturing enviroment for students with learning disabilities. Students develop confidence and a belief in their abilities. Learning happens because students are taught individually using strategies that match their learning styles and needs. The small size allows for personalized attention, and students develop leadership skills through roles that would not be available to them in a 'typical' school. There is a high degree of parent involvement, and although there are no organized sports team, there are special after school sports programs. The school has an outstanding are therapy program, and puts on a great art show of student work each year. Students are very proud of their school, and display a huge amount of school spirit.” This review was posted by a parent.

“My son was accepted to Julie Billiart School in the 6th grade when his former traditional catholic school and service plan were not helpful to him. J.B.Was the place where my son walked taller, felt accepted and valued,Became a confident student and made friends readily. His teachers really cared that he succeed and went the extra mile to support him.The school itself is state of the art having recently renovated.Sister Agnes Marie(principal) is supportive and friendly and will do whatever it takes to help with anything from support to financial aid.She believes in the children and her mission to educate.Julie Billiart was a Godsend to my child who has now graduated and will be attending Traditional Public High school in The fall of '07!” This review was posted by a parent.
